Black and gold Halloween Frame TV art: sixteen original still lifes in black and antique gold, in 4K, seven and a half minutes each. Two hours with no music and no narration, made to leave running as a screensaver on a Samsung Frame TV or any 4K screen.
There is no orange in this collection at all. That was the starting point rather than an afterthought — black velvet pumpkins, gilded ornaments, mercury glass, dark eucalyptus, and a lot of candlelight catching on metal. It is Halloween for a mantel rather than a porch.
The part that took longest was the wall. Most Halloween imagery puts dark objects against a dark background, which looks atmospheric in a photograph and turns into a single black smudge on a television across the room. So the wall here is a mid graphite, deliberately lighter than everything in front of it, and every black silhouette reads cleanly against it. The gold does the rest of the work.
Two black candles stand at either end of the lacquered sideboard in most of these, and they are the only light in the room apart from a lamp somewhere out of frame.
Made to be left running on a wall-mounted screen.
